The Tremalzo road was built by the Italian army during WWI, when the front line between Italy and Austria-Hungary ran through these very mountains. What was once a supply road for soldiers and guns is now one of the most legendary MTB descents in the Alps โ endless gravel switchbacks, a rock tunnel at the top at ~1,700 m, and Lake Garda waiting far below.
