Hiking

The war memorial was designed by architect Reinhardt from Cologne and built in 1927. There, the town of Altenkirchen commemorates the victims of the two World Wars and the persecution of the Jews. Located in the middle of the forest, the memorial bears the inscription "Our Heroes" and consists of nine quarry stone columns. The names of the victims are listed on plaques.
