The Ponte di Varinella is the bridge that connects the area of Arquata Scrivia with the hamlet of Varinella, crossing the Scrivia river at the entrance to the Valle Spinti. The locality of Varinella is indeed considered the “gate” to the valley, at the point where the Spinti stream flows into the Scrivia.
