This pedestrian bridge is intended to create a cycling and pedestrian connection between the Guillemins district and the Parc de la Boverie. This work is part of the urban revitalization and attractiveness of the Liège train station district.

Work on the pedestrian bridge began at the end of May 2014 and the inauguration in May 2016.

The Passerelle La Belle Liégeoise is a Belgian suspension bridge over the Meuse in the city center of Liège. The 2016 pedestrian and cyclist bridge connects the area of the new Liège-Guillemins station with the Parc de la Boverie in the Outremeuse district. Prior to the name choice for Passerelle La Belle Liégeoise, the footbridge was often referred to as Guillemins-Boverie.

The 294 meter long bridge has a longest span of 163 meters. The bridge, with a cost of more than 6.5 million euros, was inaugurated on May 2, 2016.
