Hiking
Embark on an exploration of Bryn Coed Preserve, a 1,505-acre haven protected by Natural Lands in 2017. Meaning "wooded hill" in Welsh, it stands as one of the largest remaining swaths of land in greater Philadelphia, saved from development. Discover a Pennsylvania Champion white oak, the Pickering Creek headwaters, and Bald Eagle nesting spots. Wander along miles of hiking trails, passing 19th-century stone farmhouses and historical ruins, offering glimpses into the land's rich agricultural history. Note that some trails traverse private property, so kindly respect owners' privacy and stay on designated paths.
