The Bertini is Edison's and Italy's oldest hydroelectric power plant, inaugurated in 1898 and once the most powerful in Europe. Created to electrify Milan's trams, it is located between Paderno and Cornate d’Adda, harnessing the Adda river. It includes turbines, control panels, and a transformation station, and is remotely controlled from the Venina Centre.
