The former malthouse embodies the dynamic striving of the Wilhelminian food industry in Angermünde in a prominent location with its simple but opulent design. It was renovated in 2016-2017 by a GbR. For example, the former malthouse was converted into barrier-free apartments, while the historic kiln and the striking, large cast-iron windows could be preserved in their original condition. The cautiously renovated facades were supplemented by balconies on the west gable to increase the quality of living.
