On August 26, 1900, Father Da Rin consecrated the church in the presence of Queen Margherita of Savoy and celebrated the first mass there.
The church was adorned with an altarpiece by Tommaso Da Rin, depicting the Madonna della Salute. This was lost during the Austrian invasion in 1917–1918 and was replaced in 1923 by a similar painting by Pio Solero.
