Long Beach, as the name indicates, is one of the longest beaches in the Rockport/ Gloucester areas. Located off of Thatcher Road, Long Beach comprises of sand, backed by a cement retaining wall. When visiting Long Beach, you can either walk on the sand by the water or along the retaining wall. You get fantastic views down the coast and the twin lighthouses on Thacher’s Island.

This is a popular beach with very limited parking. You enter via a neighborhood which is why I normally bike it. Long beach is a popular name - Nahant Beach is also called Long Beach and York Maine has Long Sands Beach
