With the establishment of the Dr. Heinrich Jelinek Warte in 1953 at the Burgerhof above the city, the city of Scheibbs gave him a visible sign of thanks while he was still alive. Jelinek died in April 1964, highly regarded and generally mourned. The wooden control room with a total height of 12.3 meters was completely renovated in 2007.
