Garmin says in the navigation that it is an unpaved road. This is far from the case. I would rather go up than down as it is not very wide. It is a worthwhile alternative without car traffic.

Tried it this year! Great road (almost) free of cars, top-notch asphalt, and in the upper section, there are even two springs in quick succession! In hot weather like today, it's great for filling up your water bottles! The short section with the "rough asphalt" at the top is almost forgettable! Just be careful if you try the descent, there's a barrier almost at the bottom!
