For those who prefer not to walk the full return journey, a convenient option is to park at Perrères and then catch a bus back to Valtournenche from Falegnon. Always check local transport schedules before you go, especially for bus services which may vary seasonally.
This trail offers a glimpse into the region's past, particularly through the historic tunnel which was integral to the construction of the Goillet lake and the Les Perreres pumpstation.
