At 1,736 feet, Horseshoe Mountain is not one of the highest peaks in the area, but it does offer a pretty cool lookout onto the ocean, Mexico, and Chula Vista. You can see the city of San Diego lit up off in the distance if you run up here early enough in the morning (or late enough at night).

Hiking
The summit to Horseshoe Mountain is a moderately inclined climb and it is a good workout. Once at the top, you can see a panoramic view of the Chula Vista area and even down towards Tijuana.
