Hiking
Stangs is dramatically situated high in Dovedale beneath the impressive Dove Crag. Relatively sheltered from south westerlies, it’s a good spot to pitch a tent, with a few small bits of flat ground. The hike up from Hartsop Hall follows the tumbling Dovedale Beck and a few of its very attractive cascades.
