This old tower is the only remnant of the medieval church in Puiflijk. It belonged to the oldest churches in Maas and Waal.
It is not known when the nave of the church was demolished. The choir was demolished in 1855 and the stones were used for the construction of the minister's house on the Waalbandijk in Boven-Leeuwen. The tower is not accessible to the public.
