At the end of the eighteenth century, the farmhouse that existed in the clearing called Alla Cascina on the path to San Giorgio burned down. In 1952, a group of volunteers from Meride took the decision to build a chapel (with refuge) dedicated to Sant'Uberto, an enclosure inaugurated on 19 June 1953.
Later, the chapel was donated to the Parish of Meride
