Embark on the Tres Sendas to Stream Trail Loop, an easy hike that takes you through a serene forest environment. You will walk beneath towering redwoods, especially along sections where deep shade creates a tranquil atmosphere with moss and ferns. This route offers a pleasant outdoor experience, covering 3.3 miles (5.4 km) with an elevation gain of 612 feet (187 metres), and typically takes about 1 hour and 38 minutes to complete.
When planning your visit, be aware that some parts of the trail may become muddy after rain, particularly on descents. Keep an eye out for poison oak in narrower areas. Parking is usually available at the Waterloo Staging Area, which provides convenient access to the trailhead. This makes it easy to start your hike without hassle.
As you hike, you might encounter sections alongside Redwood Creek, adding the soothing sound of flowing water to your experience. The trail allows you to journey through diverse environments, offering expansive views of the San Francisco Bay to the west and the Diablo Range mountains to the east from certain points. It is a notable trail for its blend of redwood forest immersion and scenic vistas.
