It was the new Breda TIBB electric locomotives which entered service on the Valle Brembana railway starting from 1920 - 1920.
The Breda TIBB locomotives were more powerful than the previous BOX CABs, they had two electric motors placed at opposite ends of the locomotive, each of which operated, via a central gear, the respective bogies with driving wheels.

Designed for towing freight convoys, the FVB 13 and 14 (approved speed 45 km/h) had greater power than the FVB 11 and 12 (approved speed 40 km/h), but subsequently all vehicles were standardized to maximum power of 400 hp (295 kW).
The power supply complied with the existing 6kV 25Hz AC installation via catenary.
