Saint Ambrose behind glass and in a tree trunk is part of the bee trail. According to legend, a swarm of bees settled on his head without hurting him. The bees even entered his mouth as if it were a beehive. The honey from the bees is said to have given him the "gift of honey-sweet speech" in which he wrote his songs and writings.
