Rhody Ridge is the brainchild and life's goal of Fir & Merlin Butler who donated their land as a living estate in the 1970's. Fir still lives on the property and the county bought an adjacent 6 acres to the 5 originally donated by the Butlers. This park is a testimony to the power of individuals to lift up their community.
