Pianezza is a beautiful village, a hamlet of Vilminore di Scalve, famous for being the starting point for the path that leads to the Gleno dam. It can be reached by car, except in the summer period when it is closed to traffic and therefore only reachable on foot or by shuttle.

Hiking

A very small village which is 3.5 km from Vilminore di Scalve: due to the limited availability of parking in the summer it is practically not accessible by car, but is served by a shuttle bus which runs throughout the day. From the village, in about an hour and with a small difference in height (about 300m height difference), you reach the remains of the Gleno dam and the current lake.
