The Garlstorfer mill can be seen from afar. Its angular brick tower, the white-lacquered all-round gallery below the slated hood and the four mighty wings is a real eye-catcher. The mill is no longer in operation and is used privately as a house.

Dutch gallery windmill from 1865 with a two-story brick substructure.
The four-story, very slim octagon is covered with slate and was built by the Benecke brothers from Kirchgellersen, a municipality in the Lüneburg district.
To make better use of the wind, it stands on a masonry substructure. In the sixties, the Garlstorfer mill was operated with 3 roller mills and one shot gallery.
Through further changes of ownership, it was gradually shut down and now serves as a residential mill. The technology inside was removed and the mill was given a compass rose and blades again.
