The final few hundred yards up to the iconic and beloved Knob are exceptionally scenic. You are finally out of the dense pine and oak forest and on a completely exposed, narrow strip of sand and rock. You get fantastic views of Buzzard's Bay and the surrounding area, which only get better as you climb the stairs up to the Knob.
