Hiking
No longer a bothy in the traditional sense, these days Athnamulloch is available for groups to hire and is managed by Trees for Life, who work on rewilding projects in the Highlands. Part of the old settlement of Athnamulloch, other buildings here include Strawberry Cottage, which is owned by the An Teallach Mountaineering Club.
Athnamulloch gives good access to the Munros of Mam Sodhail and Càrn Eige, which at 3,881 feet (1,183 m) is the highest mountain in Scotland north of the Great Glen. The Affric Kintail Way passes the bothy on its way to Glen Affric Youth Hostel.
