With the dramatic Atlantic views, it is easy to see why a lookout post would have been built here in World War Two. A total of 83 were constructed as the 'Coast Watching Service'. Volunteers kept watch during 8 to 12 hour shifts, reporting any activity they witnessed. This was number 38 of the 83 with many now removed.
