The tower was renamed "dei Francesi" in 1509, who rebuilt it in seven years, after the explosion of a gunpowder deposit destroyed it in many of its parts.

It is incredible to think that you can reach the top of a tower of a medieval castle on your bike, and once you arrive you can enjoy the view of the entire northern part of the city and the beautiful Monte Maddalena. I do not recommend it on weekends where there are many pedestrians.
