Entry point to the Sierra de Cardeña y Montoro Natural Park, it is the highest municipality above sea level in the province of Córdoba, at 821 m. In its surroundings, and to a greater extent as you enter the Natural Park, you can find holm oaks, gall oaks, wild olive trees, cork oaks and Pyrenean oaks.

We must not forget its historical prestige as a town repeatedly awarded for its harmony and beauty.
