Cycling
Due to its excellent location, the town was hotly contested between Arabs and Christians. At the beginning of the 7th century the town was invaded by Muslims, leaving a great architectural heritage.
The town is also known for being one of the main producers of espadrilles, a shoe originating in ancient Egypt. In the same municipality is the Alpargata Museum, where the evolution of the sector is shown, from artisan manufacturing to its industrialization.
