Hiking
There is a lot to discover at the Weißenstein ruins: not only the rocks of the pile and the castle ruins invite you to marvel here, but also a unique park: the glass forest. Different “tree species” by the artist Rudolf Schmid are gathered on an area of 2,000 square meters. Depending on the position of the sun, the colors of the colorful glasses change and cast colorful shadows on the ground. Really worth seeing!

Mountain biking
At the foot of Weißenstein Castle, right next to the museum in the Eating House - Dichterturm, a forest grows that cannot be found anywhere else: the firs, spruces, beeches, pines and aspens are made of colored flat glass.
The glass forest is one of the most important sights of the climatic health resort. It is a tourist attraction and a work of art at the same time. Thousands of visitors go into raptures year after year after a walk through the 2000 square meter glass forest.
