    Hiking

Alpe Vorco in the summer turns into a summer pasture. The cowbells of the cows echo in the valley marking the time at our footsteps.

Embark on a difficult loop tour between Alagna and Rima, a challenging journey spanning 10.8 miles (17.4 km) with an impressive 6712 feet (2046 metres) of elevation gain. This hike typically takes around 10 hours and 50 minutes, leading you through varied terrain including stony paths, grassy slopes, and steep sections with many stairs. You will traverse traditional mule tracks, pass through larch and alder forests, and navigate scree fields, all while enjoying panoramic views of the majestic Monte Rosa massif and glimpses of Monte Tagliaferro.

This demanding route requires experienced hikers due to its arduous terrain and significant altitude changes. While individual sections like the ascent to Colle Mud or Bocchetta della Moanda might be rated medium, the overall loop presents a considerable challenge. Near Colle Mud, you will find Rifugio Ferioli, a mountain hut offering a beautiful terrace with valley views. Be aware that some paths, such as the unmarked trail to Corno Mud from Colle Mud, are recommended only for very experienced individuals.
