A walk through the Bergen Harbor Quarter will surprise you.
Around 1500, the harbor was incorporated into the city. Many international ships came to our annual fairs at that time. There is much to tell about this beautiful part of Bergen op Zoom. The walk takes you to, among other places, the historic Tidal Watermill (circa 1520), the arsenals (which were used by the military at the time), the former sugar factory, the Spuihuis, and the Zeeland Toll House.
The walk takes approximately 1.5 hours.
