The New Year's Eve Chapel, built around 840 in the Uferpark near Goldbach, is one of the oldest preserved church buildings in Germany. The Carolingian wall paintings are rightly considered the oldest in the Lake Constance area, the Ottonian frescoes are closely related to those in St. Georg auf der Reichenau.

Very old little church, somewhat squeezed between the lake, the railway line and the road. Unfortunately closed.

Note: In 2021, the New Year's Eve Chapel will be part of the "Uferpark" exhibition area of the State Garden Show and will not be freely accessible during this time. After the state horticultural show, the New Year's Chapel is freely accessible again.
