The Vallone di Vertosan, also known as Comba di Vertosan, is a wide alpine basin where pastures, mountain pastures and high-altitude meadows follow one another as far as the eye can see. Thanks to a dense network of paths and dirt roads, it is one of the most popular areas in the Aosta Valley for hiking and mountain bike tours.

After a short climb on an asphalt road, past the small artificial lake, the descent into the pleasant valley begins.
For the return, you can opt for the path (descending as soon as the dirt road ends on the right), which is short but fun, although it should be tackled with caution, especially for the less experienced. Choosing this option means you will end up crossing the splendid village of Vens.
