The last village in the Valle Cervo, at the end of the drivable road, Piedicavallo is distinguished by an almost entirely stone architecture, rich in ornamental details.
A single cobbled street crosses the entire urban settlement; it is recommended to walk (or cycle, ed.) to appreciate the architectural elements and urban furnishings such as fountains, ornaments, window and door frames.
In addition to the parish church dedicated to San Michele, located at the upper end of a staircase that serves as its forecourt, Piedicavallo is home to the only Waldensian temple in the Biellese, built in 1895.

Piedicavallo is the main venue of the Festival of the same name, a prestigious cultural event which in 2022 reached its 32nd edition. The events take place at the Waldensian Temple, the Regina Margherita Theater and at other sites, including the nearby Selle di Rosazza, reachable at high altitude on a trail, and the hamlet of Montesinaro
