According to legend, the Ox Islands came into being when a giant roamed the land. Arriving in Glücksburg in Germany, the giant decided to jump across the fjord to Sønderhavn in Denmark. Despite his size, he didn't quite manage to jump from one bank to the other and ended up in the water just outside of Denmark. As he did so, lumps of clay fell from his shoes, creating the Ox Islands! - This story was told to me by a couple on the beach in Glücksburg and I wanted to share it with you 🤗🤗
