The Pont Paul Lamarche is the first of more than 250 bridges spanning the Seine.
The bridge initially had no name until in 2002 it was given the name "Pont Paul Lamarche", who for many years was the caretaker and advocate of the Park of the Seine Sources.
The bridge is about 25 meters below the source of the Seine and in the immediate vicinity of the bridge is the sculpture of the Seine goddess Sequana.
