The Church of the Most Holy Savior or Mother Church or Cathedral is the main place of worship in the municipality of Partanna. Built starting from the 16th century it was seriously damaged by the 1968 Belice earthquake, subsequently rebuilt and reopened for worship towards the end of the 70s.
Since the end of the post-earthquake reconstruction, no more interventions have been carried out. Only in 2013 were started further conservative restoration works on the building which concerned in particular the roof, the central nave and the presbytery area. The works were completed in 2019.
