The Voorsterbos, together with the Waterloopbos, belongs to an approximately 1,000 hectare forest complex near Kraggeburg. Voorsterbos is not only valued as a local recreation area by cyclists and hikers, but the forest has also made a name for itself among mushroom pickers. No wonder, because here you can find 800 of the 3,500 species of mushrooms that exist in the Netherlands alone.
