The Via Bibulca connected Modena to Lucca as part of a much longer itinerary: more precisely, it started from the confluence of the Dragone and Dolo streams in "La Piana" and ended in the village of San Pellegrino in Alpe, located on the crest of the Tuscan Apennines. -emilian. It was also called the Via Imperiale because the toll was very expensive and could accommodate a cart pulled by two oxen, a luxury for the time.
