In the past, when I hiked to the Maiental with my parents as a child, my father always parked here. Don't know if that's still allowed now. A beautiful little path along the edge of the forest also starts from here.

The forest edge path from Maiental is highly recommended up to this point, the further path towards Segeste is blocked by a chain for a reason: up to a forest meadow with a raised seat, it is blocked by fallen trees and is often overgrown
