There are few remnants of the Hunze, the river that meandered from Drenthe to the Wadden Sea, around the city of Groningen. But in this small area, sandwiched between industrial estates, an old part of Hunze still flows. An old meander and high embankments are still clearly visible and tell the history of the Groningen landscape.

From Bastionhotel a piece of industrial estate, then via a path unexpectedly in a lovely area: the Hunzezone. Half an hour walk and completely recharged!
