Hiking

Holderbank is a municipality in the district of Lenzburg in the canton of Aargau. The area has been inhabited since the Neolithic period and was first mentioned in documents in 1259. Holderbank has a rich history, which includes Roman ruins, Alemannic graves, and a parish church dating from 1275. The municipality was known for its textile processing, cotton weaving, and lime processing industries, as well as a cement factory and other industrial activities. The railway line was built in 1858, and the historic train station was extensively modernized in 1999 for modern S-Bahn operation.
