Discover the Tannery Falls Trail, an easy hiking route that offers a serene forest experience with a distinct Pacific Northwest feel. You will hike through hemlock and pine trees, following Ross Brook where water flows over mossy rocks, creating a constant sound of rushing water. The main highlight is Tannery Falls itself, an impressive 75 to 80-foot series of plunges and horsetails, especially striking after a good rain. This short trail covers 0.6 miles (0.9 km) with an elevation gain of 132 feet (40 metres), taking about 17 minutes to complete.

When planning your visit, remember that the road leading to the trailhead is seasonal. It closes during winter due to snow and ice, so make sure to check conditions before you go. The trail can be uneven and muddy, particularly after rain, so sturdy footwear is highly recommended for your comfort and safety. If you visit in colder months, be aware that ice can build up on the staircase near Tannery Falls, requiring extra caution.

This route is located within Savoy Mountain State Forest, providing a quick but rewarding outdoor experience. Beyond Tannery Falls, you can also find Parker Brook Falls just a short distance away, offering another beautiful natural feature to explore. The trail's unique atmosphere, with its towering trees and cascading water, makes it a notable spot for a refreshing walk in the region.
