The Ardea Purpurea fountain in Piazza della Resistenza in the place where tourists arriving in Ravenna by bus stop, was created in 2004 by the mosaic artist Marco Bravura and is inspired by the Arabian Phoenix, the bird that is reborn from its ashes, well represented by the 2 spiral wings; 12 meters high, it is covered with iridescent tiles in a play of lights and reflections enhanced by splashes of water: unfortunately subject to attack by limestone, moss and mold, it requires periodic cleaning
