The Valkenburgs Pontje has been crossing the Oude Rijn for hundreds of years and is operated by people with a passion for the ferry and the environment.

Hiking
The current ferry (popularly called “the Valkenburg ferry”) is a cable ferry with an electric motor.
On working days, the ferry is operated by employees of Provalu (merger of MareGroep and Servicepunt Werk).
On Sundays and other public holidays, the ferry is operated by volunteers.
A crossing costs € 0.50 per person (January 2022).
