The Konstantinsäule in Trier is an octagonal pillar with Neo-Gothic tracery built around 1847. Atop the pillar is a Rococo statue of Emperor Constantine (a copy), believed to be from 1726. The statue is a decorative element of a toll gate at the head of the Römerbrücke from 1846 to 1876. The original statue, from Maximin, is now (1966) in the Palastgarten and was replaced by a copy in 1965.
The Konstantinsäule is located directly between the Barbarathermen and the Römerbrücke and is a beautiful photo motif!

In addition to the Porta Nigra, the Trier Cathedral, the Church of Our Lady, the palace garden, several thermal baths and many other squares and historical buildings are also worth seeing.
