The Fossa Piccola di Caldaro is an artificial watercourse that flows through the province of Bolzano. Like its big brother, it was built in 1774.
It rises from Lake Kaltern and flows from there in a southerly direction and serves as a drainage pit for the valley floor and as a source for irrigation of the orchards. Its tributaries are smaller canals. After a distance of 15 km, it meets the Grosse Kalterer Graben a little south of Cortina on the Weinstrasse.
