In 1891 Döbern received a train station. Freight traffic was started on September 1st and passenger traffic on October 1st on the Forst - Weißwasser railway line. On September 27, 1996, Deutsche Bahn AG ceased passenger traffic on the Forst - Weißwasser route. At 4:12 p.m. the last train left Döbern for Weißwasser. Freight traffic was discontinued in October. While the Groß Kölzig and Friedrichshain train stations had found buyers, were being renovated and used as residential buildings, the Döbern train station was left to decay.

Döbern station was on the Forst-Weißwasser railway line. With the cessation of operations, the station has also become superfluous. Unfortunately, vandalism has already struck. Trees grow in the tracks.
