A replica of the post mile column was erected at the eastern bridgehead of the old town bridge in 2004. Such columns were originally erected in 1722 and in the following years. The representative Saxon-Polish alliance coats of arms are an eye-catcher. The numbers in hours are not a time, but a distance. 1 Saxon post hour corresponds to half a Saxon post mile, which is a little more than 4.5 km according to today's standard dimensions.
