Right next to the only road that leads further into the Brunni Valley, you can marvel at this old sawmill, the Bielen sawmill. It dates back to 1850 and is still in operation today thanks to an extensive restoration. It is powered by the water from the Hinterschächen torrent. This stream supplies around 2,500 litres of water per minute via a wooden water channel. The sawmill can be visited from spring to autumn upon prior request.

In the midst of the picturesque mountains, on the way to the Klausenpass at the entrance to the Brunnital, the fascinating waterwheel of the sawmill turns. In 1991 the cultural object was extensively restored and made functional again. As in 1850, stately tree trunks are again sawed. The mechanics, similar to a huge clockwork, allow the old to be rediscovered. Another attraction is the historic granite fountain from 1870. The exhibition in the Bielen saw is dedicated to the old woodworking tools.
